UDIA Infill Committee Meeting with the Shadow Planning Minister

On 1 July, Our director Antry Lau attended the UDIA Victoria Infill Development Committee meeting at Stockland's Melbourne office, joining leading developers, planners, consultants and industry professionals for a discussion with Deputy Opposition Leader and Shadow Minister for Planning, David Southwick MP. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for committee members to discuss and test key elements of the Opposition's proposed Housing Plan and Economic Plan ahead of the Victorian election, while sharing practical industry perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the property sector. Discussions covered planning reform, housing supply, development feasibility, infrastructure delivery and policy initiatives aimed at streamlining approval processes and supporting more efficient infill development across Victoria. The collaborative session highlighted the importance of ongoing engagement between government and industry to help shape practical planning policies that deliver more housing and create better outcomes for Victorian communities.
