UDIA Infill Committee Meeting

Our Director, Antry Lau, is proud to be part of the Committee alongside other industry leaders, contributing to discussions and advocacy initiatives that are helping shape the future of infill development across Victoria.

Following the successful inaugural UDIA Infill Committee meeting at Mirvac’s office earlier this year, the Committee reconvened in late May at Assemble’s office, followed by a site tour of the Kensington Build-to-Rent (BTR) project. The Kensington project provided valuable insights into innovative approaches to housing delivery and community-focused development, highlighting the important role that well-designed infill projects play in supporting the growth and sustainability of our cities.

As Melbourne continues to evolve, infill development remains critical to delivering diverse housing options, improving urban outcomes, and creating vibrant, connected neighbourhoods. Through ongoing collaboration with industry peers, the Committee is committed to advancing better planning, design, and housing solutions across the state.

The UDIA Infill Committee continues to advocate to both Government and Opposition for policies that support housing delivery, encourage quality infill development, and foster sustainable, liveable urban communities.

We welcome feedback and ideas from across the industry. If you have suggestions regarding planning or housing policy, please reach out to us or the UDIA Infill Committee. By sharing industry perspectives and practical experiences, we can help inform policies that support a more efficient, sustainable, and thriving development sector.
