Design development is progressing well on a new two-storey childcare centre in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. From the outset, the project has been guided by a clear focus on creating a calm, functional environment that supports both children and educators, while carefully responding to site constraints and regulatory requirements.
The two-level arrangement enables clear separation of age groups and activities, efficient staff circulation, and strong connections between indoor and outdoor learning spaces. Natural light, visibility and ease of supervision have been key drivers throughout the design process, alongside durability and long-term operational efficiency.
We’re looking forward to progressing the project through the next stages as the design continues to take shape.
