The Qurcus Construction Group office and showroom transforms a compact heritage brick shophouse into a contemporary workplace through thoughtful adaptive reuse. Original brickwork, steel columns, and concrete flooring were carefully retained to reduce embodied carbon and preserve the building’s character, forming a deliberate dialogue between old and new.
The distinctive stepped brick entry informed the interior concept, reinterpreted as sculptural feature walls that unify the space and create a cohesive spatial identity. A spiral stair integrated with the reception desk anchors the arrival experience, expressed in the client’s signature deep green to reinforce brand presence.
Both levels are strategically planned to balance showroom display, collaborative workspace, and private meeting areas. Skylights enhance natural daylight and workplace amenity, while recycled and laminated timber elements support a responsible material strategy. The result is a vibrant yet professional environment that celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability, and contemporary interior design practice.
