This South Australia Childcare project is shaped by a clear alignment between demand, workforce access and site presence. Positioned on a prominent corner adjoining a major roundabout, the site offers strong visibility and efficient access, which informed a clean, single-level layout designed for operational clarity and supervision.
The 88-place centre responds to a strong regional child-to-place ratio, while proximity to UniSA and TAFE SA supports long-term staffing viability. Internally, the planning prioritises intuitive circulation, clear zoning and flexible learning environments, with a focus on ease of supervision and day-to-day efficiency.
As architects on the project, the approach has been to balance commercial performance with practical delivery, ensuring the building is straightforward to operate while still providing a considered, high-quality environment for children and staff.
